year agoGood pub. Guest ales. Won awards. Landlady Debbie is lovely. Mix of regulars and new pub goers. Busy Friday & Saturday. Holds events such as karaoke & a quiz. Had complementary pizza here during the fortnightly quiz. Not had other food. Dog friendly!

4 months agoNice little bar. Friendly bar staff, good collection of whiskies. Sadly no real ale, but that’s a common theme in Scotland, and if it doesn’t sell then you can’t blame them for not stocking it.

10 months agoGreat little traditional whisky pub. Love going to pubs that keeps their vibe. I ended up coming here pretty much every night of my stay for a nightcap. Was great to pop in briefly Wednesday afternoon to warn them I’m bringing a group and they confirmed we should have space. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay and listen to the locals jam, it was wonderful to hear briefly. Staff were lovely and friendly, up for a laugh. Just be aware one of them really doesn’t agree to ice being put into whisky.

month agoBest pub in town with an excellent choice of drams, jukebox and live music. We used it throughout our stay in Ayr despite having one of the strangest pub encounters in my life on the first night using it, as a man entered who liked to kiss/dry hump other men. A very polite menace would be the best description. 10/10 recommend.
